Subject: final season
Hey Rob Fans!
Some of you may be wondering how Rob is doing. He is still doing very well as
we count the days to the halfway house date (52 :)). There is still a slim
chance that date could change to an earlier date as Rob's motion is still
sitting on a judges desk Boston waiting for a reply. In any case, the end is
really beginning to come in to focus. :)
Now that I have been able to successfully visit Rob for two weeks in a row --we
are feeling confident that prison officials have moved on to other things not
concerning Rob. That is a huge relief! As you can imagine, we have had a lot of
catching up to do! One of the things Rob was not able to share with me before
is that there is a strong possibility that my asking Rob's attorney to send a
letter of inquiry to the warden while he was in "the hole" may have
been what triggered his release after a three weeks stay there in May. (thank
you Joe and Kristina!!) He had heard this from someone on staff there --so it
is likely to be valid info. It's good to know that our efforts were paying off
in the long run.
The freerobrothberg.com web site has been back up for a while now and is again
bringing in a lot of really nice letters and a little bit a cash from
supporters all over the world. Just this week we received email messages from
France, Sweden, Italy, Germany and Norway! Of course all information regarding
the prison has been removed --and a new link to help with Rob's upcoming job
search has been added. It will be interesting to see if any offers come of it.
Rob just "celebrated" his second birthday in prison last Thursday
(9/11--not a happy day to begin with! :P) It was not an easy day to get
through, but not as bad as the one he had last year. He ended up with the day
off from work --so was at least able to run, read and work on his logic puzzles
all day instead of picking up goose poo in the parking lot! :)
Speaking of running; Rob ran half a marathon (13 miles) last week in under 2
hrs 15 mins! He is looking and feeling better than ever. His attitude is really
positive as well. I always knew he was capable of great things. Hopefully now
he knows it too. :))
That's all for now!
Cheers,
Shannon
