Subject: no changes

--Just a quick note to let you know what has been happening in Rob's life.

Some of you were wondering if I can visit Rob yet.No, I still cannot see Rob. The Lieutenant who told him "two weeks" was seemingly out-ranked by one who said "never". --Although one of them keeps running into Rob saying he needs to meet with him to discuss it. I think it is just a part of their game playing and manipulation. If they keep Rob thinking things may change, he will be more likely to take on "extra duty" (ratting out inmates for breaking rules.) That is not a good place for him to be in.

Rob is also still awaiting the final reply from the judge on his motion for resentencing. We expect that letter should be on the way soon.

I got a letter from the White House about a week and a half ago. I had written President Bush (among others) while Rob was in the hole. The reply was from one of his assistants. It said they forwarded my letter to the Department of Justice. That could be good. It could be really bad! Or it just may do nothing. We just wait and see.

Rob was able to move his bunk to a location with one of his few friends. I am not sure if it has been helping to keep his bed clean and dry, but I don't think so. Rob is sending a lot of his letters and books home so that he will have room in his locker for his blanket and sheets. :(

There are nineteen more weeks before Nov 9 which is his current halfway house date. We are slowly counting down.

Rob says he feels that with all of this rain, at least he is not missing many beach days!! --I guess you can say he is thinking positively! :)
