Hi there!
This was a busy weekend for Rob. He did an interview with Lee Gomes of the Wall Street Journal on Saturday. I have no idea when it will be completed and printed, but will let you know as soon as we find out. I think doing the interview actually cheered Rob up a little. It must be nice for him to know that his story will be told and that he will not be forgotten while he is there. I am still a little skeptical of what some of the consequences could be but, as always, I am hoping for the best.
Rob has informed me that he has completed 22.5 percent of his stay at the camp part of his sentence! :) (although he has not officially been told when his release to the half-way house will be) There are a few inmates going to the Coolidge House next month who shared with Rob the three paged list of rules for the facility. Rob is sending it to me, and I will scan it so you can check it out. He says he has more questions now than he did before seeing the rules! There was mention of passes to home and also home confinement. We are excited about the possibilities. But we know he will still probably be in Ayer for a minimum of 7.5 more months.
Some most excellent news is that Rob has dropped 14 pounds so far with his new routine! He walks or runs the track or treadmill on a regular basis and is not eating between meals anymore! I will be getting a trim, healthy husband after this is all said and done. ...Now if I can only find a way to keep him away from those computer games and root beer floats when he gets home! :)
